DJ/Producer Chris Aidy is an integral part of the London House scene. His unique style has seen him playing the length of the UK from Colours in Glasgow to Sankeys in Manchester not forgetting the crème of London venues such as KOKO, Egg and Pacha.

Born in Amsterdam raised in Toronto he finally came to London in his early teens where his passion for music was really ignited. Chris’ Djing debut was at the Fridge in Brixton in 1998 where he had a residency as part of a group called The Young Stars! At the tender age of 18 it was a daunting but inspiring experience which spurred him on to make his own productions.

In 2000 Chris released his first track “Getting Relaxed” with Caged Baby which reached critical acclaim in many publications and was a hit on the underground scene. After a stint at SAE in 2004 Chris brought his production to the next level and released “Temptation” which sold out world wide. Chris has recently set up his own production company with production partner JC under the name ‘No Sweat’. They have remixed several tracks for Kinky Malinki and Centric and their first release titled ‘Can You Feel The Love’ featuring JKey is for release this summer.

His own productions have been generating a lot of interest amongst the DJ fraternity and has been approached by Wolfgang Fleur of Kraftwerk to remix their classic track ‘Autobahn’
The highlights of the past twelve months have included playing at ‘Release Yourself’ alongside Roger Sanchez, with David Guetta for ‘PUSH’ and for the last ever Smartie Partie at The Turnmills closing weekend. Chris has also become a regular at Ministry of Sound, playing alongside Mark Knight for Toolroom Knights, Steve Angello for Size and not forgetting his residency for Connected!

Most recently Chris has 5 tracks out on Spin Cycle Records. The 6th tune in the series “Can You Feel the Love” is being released on Spin Cycle on the 6th October.
“Tiger Face” and “Fell Over” are both being released on Bad Concept Records at the end of October.
All three tunes are available to down load on Beatport and all other major download sites.

He and Connected! smashed Ministry of Sound with Release Yourself alongside Roger Sanchez on the 27th of September.
Area the new London superclub has been smashed to bits constantly over the last few months by Connected! On their first night it was completely sold out. Chris said “Its such an amazing club to play in and reminds me a bit of Amnesia in Ibiza. The crowd was incredible, I absolutely can not wait for our next night there on Saturday November 29th with headliner Bart B More. We loved it so much we are even doing New Years Eve there!” – That night in particular, went down a treat.

He also made a bootleg of SMD’s “We are your friends” called “Rough Justice” last year, he played it out a couple of times then kinda forgot about it!! Its been on my Myspace page for some time and DJs have been slowly contacting me about it asking for copies, in the last few months he havs been inundated with requests, which is crazy because, in his own words, “I only did it for a laugh!” He is overwhelmed by the reception it has received.

London’s future events include the upcoming Wonderland @ Ministry Of Sound on the 5th of July alongside Pete Tong and Sander Kleinenberg and Connected! @ Pacha on the 18th of July. With a string of dates this summer both in London, Toronto and on the White Island and with tracks being released on Bad Concept Records, it looks like Chris has a busy time ahead of him. If you can’t catch him live you can download one of his regular podcasts from his internationally successful “Welcome 2 My House” collection available from ITunes.
