Paul Beckwith first heard House music while he was at a warehouse party and it was that moment that marked the beginning of a love affair in sound and rhythm. As a child, he had started off playing piano, guitar, and drums but he was always looking to the next thing whether it was an instrument, gadget, sound, or the next song; it was a natural progression for him to enter into the world of electronic music and technology. Paul became obsessed with this new world and wanted to learn everything he could, so he applied to and then attended Berklee College of Music in Boston.

While at Berklee his talent was quickly recognized by his mentor, Prince Charles Alexander (Grammy award winning producer). His work there culminated in his winning of the Peter Gabriel Production Award for Outstanding Production and Programming and Innovation in Modern Productions. At Berklee refined his abilities to make music marrying banging underground beats, complex instrumental arrangements, and lush vocals.

Beckwith’s work with the renowned UK Deep House Imprint Anjunadeep has quickly created a stir in the House Music world. The Craymal EP officially announced Beckwith as a rising talent, and there is much more in store with Anjunadeep that will cement his reputation as a solid deep house producer and performer. In addition to his original work he has had remixes appear on such labels as Ultra, Nurvous, and Stranjjur, and S107. He has remixed singles by artists and producers such as Mario Basanov, Lula Circus, CREEP, Boom Jinx and Andrew Bayer, Emma Hewitt, NERVO, and Lauren Flax.

He may just be coming up on the radar, but you can count on Beckwith’s wide array of sounds and projects to keep pushing the limits and blurring the boundaries of deep house.
